In March I had one of the most exciting opportunities of my amateur baking life thus far ....
I was asked by a former co-worker to make her son's 1st Birthday cake.
That is HUGE.
Do you know how huge that is ?
Of course I said yes immediately, then it slowly sunk in that I would be making this cake for complete strangers.
Then I thought, why am I getting so worked up? This IS what I want, what I've worked for.
*Choke*
It all became VERY REAL and I realized I could not back out
This moment was the first true test of my skill
I was SO "game-on" at that point.
Do I seem dramatic ?
Get used to it.
But truly , I had so many mixed emotions & pure anxiety , but after it was all over, for the first time I really thought--
" Kristen, you can do this."
I am going to stop myself here and just show you--- here is the final project--
(The water bottle was included in the birthday package.)
Haha. Just kidding.
Clearly I need to invest in an expensive camera and some better photography angles, but you get the point.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Cake
Also being my own worst enemy, I was still afraid the cake was not enough , so I made themed cupcakes to go along with it ....
I will stop being ridiculous and just let the world be my judge.
Fin.
